Once upon a time in 1914, a small cloth shop was set up in Harappa, the world's oldest known civilisation. The shop did well for the father-son duo back then, only for their lives to be turned upside down in 1947.

India's independence not only parted people from their loved ones but also their dreams, passions and pretty much everything they had.  

When our Grandfather, S. Satnam Singh Ji came to India, all he possessed was a jug. Having sold eggs in the day and working as a labourer during the night, he toiled to feed his family and to gather funds to rebuild his cloth business.

Fast forward four decades; his sons grew up and started a small scale  weaving industry in the village Bajra of Ludhiana in 1987. From a small trading house, we became manufacturers. Every step involved challenges and came with its own set of issues. Nevertheless, the resolve to do better stayed on. 

We've come a long way; what started as suiting and shirting business for gents matured into a luxury clothing brand for Indian women. Ramtex has evolved into a clothing brand specialising in designing the finest casual and semi-formal clothing for Indian women. 

A lot has changed over the last century but there's one thing that has passed on since generations, our commitment to honest work. We don't compromise on quality, and we don't compromise on the wellbeing of our people and mother earth.

Our factory employs over 1000 men and women from all over India, and we are dedicated to the growth of our employees as much as we are towards our own. Each one of our employees is insured under Govt. of India's ESI Scheme for healthcare. In 2016, we became the first small-scale industry in North-India to recycle 95% of waste water. With every passing day, we're moving towards sustainability and holistic growth of society at large.
